Online Bible Study - Our New Life in Christ

Eat, Drink, and be Merry?

SECTION TWO: "Eat, Drink and be Merry?"
HAVEN'T WE FORGOTTEN SOMETHING?

We try hard to make responsible use of our freedom as Christians. That means we also allow other Christians to express their faith differently than we do. We don't hold it against them that they worship on a different day or have different rules about what they can and cannot eat. The important thing is that we respect one another's faith in our saving Lord, Jesus Christ! St. Paul has some very important things to say about this issue in Romans 14:1-8.

Why does Paul say we should not pass judgement on the practices of others? (verse 3)

Who will be the judge of each and every one of us?

What beautiful purpose for living does St. Paul give us in verse 8?

As we try to exercise our freedom as Christians, we try also to allow other people their freedom to be God's people in a different way.

We hope that this lesson has provided some helpful answers to your questions about your life as one of God's special people. Please feel free to contact us should you have questions or comments.
