Our new life in Christ is filled with love. In lesson one of this course, God's Word led us to a deeper understanding of how to express our love for our God. Lesson two helped us see how God would like for us to take care of our own bodies and minds, because they are special gifts from God. In lesson three, we explored how to show our love to those who are nearest and dearest to us, our families. But our love as Christians reaches out even farther than that.

Long ago, the Pharisees, a group of lawyers, tried to trap Jesus with a trick question. They asked Him, "What is the greatest of all God's commandments?" Jesus answered by telling them, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul and with all your strength…you must love your fellowman as you love yourself." (Mark 12:28-34). In other words, Jesus told us that our love for God leads us to have love for ALL the people around us. In as many ways as we can, we must treat our neighbors as we would like for them to treat us. We try to love them as much as we love ourselves. That is how we live our New Life in Christ.

But how do we carry out this commandment that Jesus gave us? When we try to love our fellow human beings as much as we love ourselves, what changes does that make in the way we live our lives? How does it make a difference in how we act at home, at work, or at school? Those changes are given us in God's Word! Let's take a look at some of them.
