QUESTION: Since there is a God, how can I find out more about Him?
WE BELIEVE: Some people search for God. We believe God is reaching out to us.

A STORY: The teacher watched the student working very hard. Eventually, she went over to the child and asked, "What are you drawing?" The little girl replied, "Teacher, I am drawing a picture of God." Surprised, the teacher said, "But nobody knows what God looks like." "They will when I am finished," said the child.

ANSWER THIS: . . . . . . What is the danger in trying to find God by using only your mind?



GOD SPEAKS: Look at the many gods humans have invented. You will be amazed at how different they are. People have made up angry gods, happy gods, nasty gods, gentle gods, vengeful gods, powerful gods, impotent gods, gods that demand sacrifices and gods who are unpredictable. Such invented gods are not real. They only reflect the good and bad that is in each of us. In the book of Isaiah (44:13-19) God points out the silliness of a man who cuts down a tree, uses some of the wood for a fire, some to cook supper and some to make an idol that he calls "god." We can see man has made his god.

Plainly, if we want to know the TRUE GOD, we will not find Him:
in nature which is kind one day and harsh the next.
in ourselves, because we are all different.

It is also true that if we want to find God, it will happen when He shows Himself.
If you wish to know the true God, you must listen to what He has told us through those who represent Him. (2 Peter 1:21)
You study the Scriptures; they do, in fact, tell about Me. (John 5:39)
To anyone who will listen, God's scripture becomes a light for the path God wants them to walk. (Psalm 119:105)
