Beginning in November these famous outdoor markets are usually set up in the center of the town. In the market there are a variety of items to be purchased including beautiful hand carved wooden nativity scenes, the most famous of which can be found at the market in Oberammergau in Bavaria. At night the market is lit up with thousands of lights and can be seen from a far. |
