 The Program ...
Reaching Out is an exciting sponsorship program between Lutheran Hour Ministries and congregations. As a team, your congregation and LHM's ministry center staff will witness to people around the world who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Why Reach Out ...
For over 80 years, Lutheran Hour Ministries has actively
brought a message of hope to people around the world.
More than 40 international ministry centers are actively
engaged in gospel outreach. Ministry Centers use radio,
television, community outreach, youth programs, drama
presentations, prison ministries, and the Internet to
spread the Good News.
Benefits to the congregation ...
Sponsoring congregations will receive:
- A certificate of participation to display in your church.
- Newsletters and current program news from sponsored
country.
- A chance to directly correspond with the overseas
staff.
- Biannual report on the ministry’s outreach
achievements.
- Fact sheet on the country that your congregation
is supporting.
- Volunteer opportunities in select countries.
- Other available resources.
- A trip for the pastor or a congregational representative
Experience the Ministry ...
Travel to far off lands to experience LHM’s ministry outreach firsthand.
Congregations who pledge to support a ministry center
for three years with a giving level of $5,000 or greater
per year, will be given an opportunity to send their
pastor or congregational representative to visit the
ministry.
The cost of transportation and accommodations for one
person will be hosted by LHM in order to give the pastor
firsthand experience in the ministry that the congregation
has been supporting. The trip will be for one week and
can be taken at anytime during the three-year commitment.
Travel arrangements must be directly coordinated with
LHM.
